From amazon.com:

"Prosecutor Janet McNeil is convinced that if she can convict Jacob Hall for credit-card fraud, she can ultimately tie him to the Ivory Nation, Arizona's largest white supremacy organization. But as the trial date nears, an important file disappears, a key witness seems reluctant to take the stand, and Janet's consistently competent assistant seems to forget the simplest things she asks him to do. The Ivory Nation is also doing its part to convince Janet to drop the case, with threats that have Janet fearing not only for her own safety but also for that of her family and the young girl she is about to adopt. The only person who understands why pursuing the case is so important to Janet is her neighbor, textbook author Simon Green, but Simon has his share of secrets, leaving Janet wondering if there is anyone she can trust. Quinn expertly combines her usual nuanced characters with a cleverly constructed plot in her latest suspenseful tale of danger and romance."

A fairly average romantic suspense, pleasant enough to read but not particularly memorable. There are too many 'coincidental' connections, and the resolution drags on a little too long. But it's not a bad book, by any means.

I went into Tea Rex for our Meetup yesterday and found this book (with a pile of others, so it wasn't lonely) still sitting on the counter from last month's release. I released other books there, and brought the pile home with me to try releasing them in different venues, hoping to find catchers.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

Left in the waiting area, on the bench on the right. I set it there on my way in; by the time I left, there were people filling the bench (and more standing), and I didn't see the book anywhere - here's hoping it finds a good home!

I found this book while waiting for a table one Sunday at Harpers. I was about to turn it in when I saw the label on the bottom. What an awesome idea! I had not previously known about this and plan to "release" some of my own books. As for this book I am taking a Cruise at the end of Feb. to the Southern Carribean and plan to leave this book either on the ship for someone or on an island. Best wishes!

I noticed this book sitting on top of a pile of deck chairs on the cruise ship Carnival Destiny while waiting to sail out of St Johns, Antigua. When no one appeared to be coming back for it, I picked it up and learned about Bookcrossing for the first time. It was a light, quick read, and I finished it during the cruise. Took it with me to the cold north, and left it at a departure gait at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, IL. in early March. Can't wait to learn where it goes next...
