Pre-numbered label used for registration.
This book came from the kind lady in Darlington in November. If this is your introduction to Bookcrossing, welcome. Please make as few or as many comments about the book as you wish. The book is now yours to do with as you choose. Keep it, pass it on, but please leave the label, so it can keep in touch with us.
I gave away an earlier copy of this before I read it, adn was regretting it, so this is a good reminder that things will come round again. Going on mount TBR

I really enjoyed this and will send on to mallary in the new year.
I just checked RABCK.com for the address and noticed that it is soon Mallary's birthday, so this will be a birthday RABCK.

Journal Entry 4 by Mallary from Ginestas, Languedoc-Roussillon France on Friday, January 19, 2007
Thank you so much for sending me this book for my birthday!
It was very kind of you and I look forward to reading it.

July 2008: I finished reading this book and thoroughly enjoyed it (I also thought I'd made a journal entry for it but I hadn't - my apologies). I'm now looking out for more titles by this author. Thanks for sharing it with me!

Journal Entry 5 by DEESSE from Erstein, Alsace France on Saturday, June 6, 2009
This book arrived today together with "The Kite Runner" (which was a trade) - and it was a surprise, as I didn't expect two books! Thank you Mallary! Sounds interesting.

Journal Entry 6 by DEESSE at Erstein, Alsace France on Monday, February 20, 2012
I finally read this book for the German "reduce mount to be read-challenge" (the topic in February was "Flora und Fauna").
I finished it this morning and I really enjoyed it!

On the one hand, Lily had quite a shitty childhood and had to learn some things about her mother the hard way. On the other hand, there were so many kind, nice persons around Lily and I really love the ending! It must have been nice to live with August and her sisters.
Lily herself is a very courageous teenager, having to live with T. Ray in the beginning and then the running away with Rosaleen. I think thanks to August she'll make her way in life!

At times there were quite philosophical / religious passages (I liked the idea of the black Mary inside ourselves) and then there were some passages which made me laugh out loud.

It's available now - if nobody asks for it, I think I'll take it with me to the Convention in April.
