10/13/06 Rec'd from neighbor Barbara for passing along in Book World. Friday, Oct. 13th - LOL, an appropriate day to register a Dean Koontz book - AVL

"They found the town silent, apparently abandoned. The first body was strangely swollen and still warm. One hundred and fifty were dead, 350 missing. But the terror had only begun in the tiny mountain town of Snowfield, California.

At first they thought it was the work of a maniac. Or terrorists. Or toxic contamination. Or a bizarre new disease.

But then they found the truth. And they saw it in the flesh. And it was worse than any of them had every imagined ..."

1/15/07 Very entertaining supernatural read. This is one of Koontz's better books imho. AVL

Journal Entry 5 by bobcatfischer from Lakeside, California USA on Monday, December 31, 2007
My family and I were in Yosemite National Park for Christmas week. We ate dinner at the Mountain Room Restaurant and I saw the book sitting on the bench just outside of the dining room. What caught my attention first was the author, Dean Koontz, I've many, many of his books, then I saw a yellow post-it on the front that said, I'm not lost, I'm free... I read the book and throughly enjoyed it, although I was surprised that I hadn't read it years ago! My 14 year old daughter is reading it right now and we'll set it free here in Lakeside, California, which is in the eastern part of San Diego County, 30 minutes from the beach. :)
