With her evocative bestsellers The Shell Seekers and Coming Home, Rosamunde Pilcher opened your heart to the extraordinary powers of love, heartbreak, and joy. Now she invites you to share the full spectrum of life's moods and emotions through her very first collection of stories. From a child's first knowledge of death, through city and country, to an elderly woman's newfound freedom, The Blue Bedroom is a welcoming experience full of the honesty and warmth unique to Rosamunde Pilcher.

I loved the first book I ever read by Rosamunde Pilcher, it really gave the meaning to the expression "confort reading". So I couldn't pass the opportunity to read this collection of short stories.

As with all short stories, some are better than others, and even though the book is named after "the Blue Bedroom", my favorite story was actually the second. I've felt the exact same way that man has: when we long for something for so long, and then finally get it... sometimes, what we longed for isn't all it's cracked up to be.
A lovely book.

Finished it yesterday!
I usually don't like books with small stories but this one is so sweet that is impossible not to like all the stories...

Thanks syrin!
