I enjoyed this book nearly as much as Lillian's Story, Kate Grenville has a very interesting writing style. This book was about Joan - of many different eras during the history of Australia. I loved the way each second chapter was based on the main character Joan and her adventures whilst the alternate chapters were about different Joans. Each had their own lives and their own histories to make but their stories melded into together as Australia's white history moved forward.
