Haven't read this book yet, but looking forward to it. If it's like Hiaasen's other stuff, it'll be a well spent few hours. Will add more when it's finished and is ready to be released.

I found the book at Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia. Sorry it took so long for me to read it, but I was really busy. I found it a pretty strange book. Maybe it's just not the type of book I'm reading lately, because once I got into it my interest was caught and I went through it in a couple of days (no mean feat with 3 small kids who think that when I sit down to read I'm fair game). I guess I could identify with Twilly, I share alot of his opinions (ecologist/naturalist). Are there many people out there who see things that way? If so, why does North America look the way it does?
Thanks for the book, I did enjoy it and I think this is a really neat idea. I'd like to hear some other opinions on the book and I will pass it on, I'll leave it around the tourist information place here in Whitehorse (I've travelled up here since I found the book), so maybe it'll go far.

I found "Sick Puppy" at the Visitor Reception Center here in Whitehorse (it's where i work) as i was locking up for the day, about 2 weeks ago. I have now finished reading the book, and i thought it was reasonably entertaining and pretty unique..... reminded me a little bit of Tom Robbins' novels, and i liked the radical environmentalist character-- twilly spree..... and the old ex-governor bush-hippie guy.... made me think of Willie Nelson, for some reason.... maybe it was the braided beard....
anyways, all in all i'd say "Sick Puppy" was a pretty good read.... so i passed it along to a buddy i work with....... it's like Oprah's book club around this joint!
Maybe we'll pass it along to someone from a distant land..... and this book can do some REAL travellin.......

Well, it wasn't a bad read. It made you want to plow through quickly, with its fast paced action and dialogue. Whomever it gets to next will not be disappointed.
My co-worker at the Whitehorse Visitor Centre passed it on to me. We could leave it where it was found, in our lobby, but I think we'll try to pass it off to someone from far away. We get a lot of people who take flights to here from Germany.
Maybe someone will be picking this thing off a beer sodden table during Oktoberfest in Munich, who knows.
Try and send us some more books our way!

Released on Friday, July 04, 2003 at The T&M Lounge, 4th Ave. and Main St. in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory Canada.

I'm gonna leave it on one of the wing back chairs. Should fly away quickly.
