This book is an exlemperary look at human virtues, vices, and behavior. C.S. Lewis does an incredible job of presenting pithy lessons in the medium of a devil's letters to another. The letters are really well done and give character to both the writer, his nephew, and the human. Each letter also delivers a consistently important moral that conflicts the reader between wanting to read more about the human's ongoing battle and to meditate and savor each letter. Overall, this is a book that demands multiple rereadings, and promises to give totally new insight each time. The insights are extremely potent, both to Christians and non-Christians with an open mind.
