The vampire Lestat - monster, outsider, hero-wanderer - is snatched from this world to face his most extraordinary adversary ever. His guide Memnoch, the Devil, takes him on a tour of Creation and leads him into the mythical worlds we must all one day confront, the very realm of Heaven and Hell.
For the Phantasie & Gelantine bookbox! Have fun. :-)

Der Memnoch hockt bei mir auf dem MtTBR und wartet darauf gelesen zu werden, somit muß dieser kleine Teufel in seiner Box bleiben! *schmunzel*
Memnoch is already sitting at my MtTBR, so this little devil will have to stay in his box! *smile*

Memnoch the Devil arrived today in Wuppertal where he crawled out of the "creatures of the night book box" to find a new home on one of my piles of books "to be read"... He will have to rest a little while and not continue his journey with the box, but I hope that he will not have to wait too long to be read because this book definitely looks very tempting...
Thank you, phoenixfeather, for registering and thank you, buff69, for putting this book in the box!

I am very sorry "Memnoch the devil" had to wait so long to be read!
It is indeed a very interesting fantastic tale about the nature of evil, religion, suffering and forgiveness. While the story-telling by the author in this book seemed to me sometimes a bit long-winded, I was very impressed with the beauty of the language (you really have the impression that it is a vampire and not a mortal telling the story...) and I particularly liked the description given by Lestat to Memnoch with regard to how hell should be in his opinion.
