Possibly Manchester's answer to Nancy Drew, but in my opinion Nancy Drew with attitude! Loved this one, just like the others. Particularly like the housing market nostalgia ' Not much change out of a quater of a million for that one'; if only. This one takes us over the halfway mark and I am beginning to feel bereft already.

Different cover.

I loved this just as much as the previous books, I'm really going to be sad to see this series end! Kate is getting to be one of my favourite detectives. I love the computer nostalgia in these books too, it brings out the (not very well hidden) geek in me.

The book is now on its way to Cross-patch, who I'm sure will enjoy it too....

Thank you both. Kate Brannigan has wormed her way into my heart too. Yes, I am looking forward to another good read ... and will miss this series when it's over!

Very much my cup of tea...and a bit of foreign travelling this time! Kate Brannigan is just about my favourite detective, just so glad to have a British one to enthuse over. Nit-picking, I know, but why do they have to give you the first chapter of the next book? All right, I know the answer, but it's so annoying.

I'll contact Dodau to make sure she is ready for this one.

25 June. Posted today. I'm sorry for the delay, but we've had erratic access to the Internet lately. We were blaming BT but today fitted a new router and we're all hunky-dory now!

I love Kate Branigan and this one is next to be read.
