I would describe this book as quite light holiday reading, but quite interesting, focussing on the life of a female vicar and her daughter in a village in Herefordshire. The daughter becomes involved in ancient spiritual forces and her mother has to deal with this. I found the way the mother spoke of her daughter rather irritating and patronising, calling her 'the kid' all the time, but I got over it!
