Quite an entertaining read, but somehow fails to deliver on what the cover blurb promises. The big twist that I expected never really materialised and I was left wondering what the point of the whole thing was. One character is too nice and another has no redeeming features whatsoever, so the whole thing is a bit unbalanced. The cover lists a series of rave reviews though, so maybe I'm just missing the point!

I actually really enjoyed this book, there was something really compelling that urged me to read it quite fast. I wasn’t keen on any of the characters but I think that was the point. There are one or two lines that caused me to laugh out loud (a bit embarrassing in a coffee shop) but it is also quite sad in places.
Anyway I would like to keep this book in the bookcrossing community and am about to pass it on as a surprise to someone who has it on her wish list.

The blurb sounded so promising:

Sadly, I have to agree with the previous reviews that the characters are unbalanced! And though I forged through the whole book, it never really explained why it was written and seemed to be more of an exorcism of something from the writer than an actual book! Sad to say I really did not enjoy this one, and it felt like a real slog a lot of the time - I often had to resort to reading a page at a time, just to get through it! Ah well, we live and learn.

Definitely not going to read this again, so will take it to work to see if it appeals to anyone there.
