This was a great book. I'm a pretty harsh judge, using the number system. It's 404 pages but it's a fast read.

I received this book in the mail from fellow BookCrosser Anothermichelle in Michigan. It looks like a great suspense novel for those times I really want to escape.

This is the first mystery I've read by Lisa Gardner and now I wouldd like to read more of her works.

"The Other Daughter" is a mystery/thriller involving a host of characters and secrets that go back 25 years. A very convoluted tale of murder, adoption, greed, infidelity that comes together in the end. And, of course, a love story (several, actually) is intertwined along the way.

"Gardner indulges her fascination with the dark side of family life, where the ties that bind also gag, choke and strangle."

An okay read. I had figured out most of the twists before the ending. A nice escape.
