The Old Curiosity Shop
2 journalers for this copy...
The classic Dickens tale of Nell Trent and her grandfather, forced into debt and having to flee to the country where they face great hardships. Tragically, both Nell and her grandfather have died before his brother traces them.
This novel is a frequently and deliberately sentimental story of pursuit and courage in adversity, of malevolent and vile villains and the plucky and downtrodden characters who oppose them and their evil actions.

Not one of my favourites but still very readable.
