An excellent read for someone on vacation in Key West, FL. No volcanoes here!

This book starts its journey by being passed along to my neighbor who is a voracious reader and now a new bookcrossing member!

I would recommend it to others. I believe that what was written about the Roman aqueduct construction (fascinating engineering) and about the eruption is relatively accurate. I thought it dwindled into far-fetched at the end, but it was a nice thought.

Raven - fyi the book made it as far as Marathon so far. Somebody sold it into bondage. I purchased it at the Used Book Store in town (the same one that appears in Dorsey's Torpedo Juice).
