- Please post a journal entry here (1) when you first receive the book so I know it's arrived at it's next destination, and (2) after you've finished reading it and are ready to send it along. Of course, please include your thoughts and opinions on the book itself too. :)
- For courtesy sake, please try not to keep this book for more than 6–8 weeks as others are also waiting to read it. If you don't think you can get to the book in that timeframe, you can request to be skipped and/or added to the end of the ring instead. I don't mind if you need to keep it a bit longer, but just use your best judgment so as not to hold up the ring too long for everybody waiting behind you.
- Late particpants are welcome—PM me if you'd like to join. Be sure to specify your shipping preferences, and I'll accommodate them if I can. If you're joining the ring after it's already started, know that your place in the list will be determined based on your geographic location in conjunction with what is best for the other participants. And it may not always be possible to honor requests to ship only within a particular region.
- Please do not ask to join any of my rings if you're not a responsible and reliable BookCrosser. If you happen to see someone in the list who you believe is questionable, please let me know immediately. I try to research names I don't recognize and use a number of methods for spotting bad Crossers, but I certainly appreciate any additional info. (I'm hoping to curtail problems now by offering my rings only to Obsessors and Club VLAD members.)
- Finally, I like to ask the US participants who are shipping overseas (thank you!) to consider all shipping options in addition to surface mail. Particularly with lightweight books weighing less than 16 ounces, Air Mail or Global Priority Mail (GPM) is sometimes a more efficient shipping option for certain countries, and certainly worth it to cut the shipping time down by a month or two. (This book is a trade paperback so it may not be efficient for anything other than surface, but do check anyway. Thanks!)

Ok, I have read both Carpe Demon (Book 1) & its sequel, California Demon, and I have to say that they were both really cute in my opinion. I will have to look and see if Julie Kenner has written anything else that may interest me, as I like her writing style.

I opened the door to see if a friend had pulled up in the drive, and the post lady was right there with this book in her hand. I screamed when she startled me, and probably got the whole neighborhood's attention. LOL.
Yay! This was one fun read! There were a few spots where I actually yelled at the book though. I hate it when the protagonist doesn't listen to me.=P

Got this today. I have to finish up a couple of other books first, but i'll have it read and sent out by the end of next week.
Truthfully i was a little bored by this one for the first half of the book. It took me quite a while to get into in though by the time it ended i was very there and wanted to get my hands on the next book. Maybe i was just in a mood when i began it. I hope to get my grubby little hands on the next one in the next few months.

I really enjoyed this second part. I think it was better than the first one but I am not sure why. Maybe the author has just got intot the whole thing more but the first book didn't impress me as much as this one.
I like how everything is going...it is great to see this combination of real life and paranormal world. It really makes the story alot more interesting. I am looking forward to the 3rd part and will be looking to see what else this author has on offer.

That was a very delightful read!
The second installment of this entertaining series is a bit deeper and more complex than the first. There’s still a good deal of not-too-graphic mayhem, injected with a good dose of humor and more plot development. Like the first, this is a fun read, perfect for summertime.
And of course it leaves me wanting to read more LOL

I was a bit disappointed with the first book in this series, Carpe Demon, but I enjoyed California Demon a lot. I'm often a bit frustrated with Kate, but on the other hand she is a very likeable character. I was sucked into the story right away, and ended up reading the book really quickly. Now I just need to know what the deal with David Long is... I guess I need to get my hands on Demons Are Forever: Confessions of a Demon-hunting Soccer Mom and Deja Demon: The Days and Nights of a Demon-hunting Soccer Mom.
