I really liked this book. It is the story of one summer in the life of a thirteen year old girl and her family and the changes that take place in their lives. The story is told from the perspectives of the teenaged girl, her mother, and her father which allows the reader to gain an appreciation for the complexity of the issues involved and the difficulties faced by each that the characteres themselves often don't appreciate.

Released on Friday, January 17, 2003 at Laemmle Theatre in Los Angeles, California USA.
