Josh Steele's violent rage over the death of his best friend in Iraq because of bad intelligence lands him in Leavenworth Prison, but he is released because he is needed on a sniper counterterrorism mission for the Bureau of American Defense (BAD). She tries to manipulate him but soon feels a grudging respect for someone she feels is an honorable man, despite his offbeat humor. Because of difficult backgrounds, both he and Sydney have trouble with intimacy, but that does not stop their fierce attraction to each other. Kenyon, known primarily for her paranormal romances in the Dark Hunter series, turns in her first "bad-boy" romance adventure, a fast-paced, one-sitting read featuring vulnerable but formidable and sexy characters who will appeal to fans of Catherine Mann and the Silhouette Bombshell series. 9/18/06 Entertaining, sexy romance featuring covert agents of BAD (Bureau of American Defense). Sherrilyn Kenyon's BAD to the Bone, a p/b featuring three novellas involving other BAD agents, was more comic - this was definitely more in the romance genre (Silhouette, Harlequin) ... but with more kick #ss action.

Thanks for sharing, Terra57 -- I've hung back from reading romance-y books, but this was a fun change.

Arrived today. Will get right into reading so I can send along. Thanks for sharing, I'm looking forward to a good kick butt adventure.

I really enjoyed this..I've read a few books by Kenyon and have enjoyed them all - but I'd have to say I liked this the most. The pacing was great, the dialogue was snappy and the non-stop adventure was totally fun. I hope Kenyon decides to write more of this genre as she has a great feel for it.

NeedSun now has her own copy of this book so she's asked to be skipped. terra57 has requested I send it her way. I'll pop it in the post when it re-opens after the holiday (Tuesday Jan 2).
