Picked this book up from a library in the laundry room of Manor House Apartments in Alexandria, Virginia, USA.
A fantastic novel that follows the students of Battle School and their battles with themselves and the Buggers. Card seems to have a lot of fun with this book in the way that it mirrors Ender's Game. I would definitely recommend reading Ender's Game first, as Bean is a bit too smart at time and reveals mysteries casually. Bean's double unnaturalness both as a genius and as a child made him hard to identify with at times, but I think that only added to the book. Card also does a great job of addressing many different issues, such as what it means to be human, religion, and leadership. The dialogue is also really well done and the characters are very rich. Overall a terrific coming-of-age story in the midst of war.
