An Amazon reviewer wrote "Without a doubt, Robert Ludlum is one of the best authors, there has ever been. This books first starts in France, where Hitler Germany have now taken over, and the Axis have formed a strong relationship with Russian. Although American has not yet entered the war, American spymasters believe it not to be too soon, before Germany attacks them.
An American espionage agent, Metcalfe is assigned to the task of spying on a German ambassador in Russia, but soon lies unfold, to ucover a plot so cleverly done, that it's almost unbelieveable. There are two plots, to this story, one set in the second world war, and another one set in 1991 of the Soviet Coup. The latter plays an unimportant role in in the main story, the first plot. "

Acquired for release.
