Never Let Me Go

"A page-turner and a heartbreaker, a tour de force of knotted tension and buried anguish".
Released in postal trade to fenortner in California.
I just arrived yesterday and though I haven't traveled far in Washington state, I'm still excited to be somewhere new. I loved Oldbroad, but look forward to more adventures. Fenort said I'd be here for only a little while, as she plans to read me right away. She's a teacher, and because school just started yesterday, she said she'll have to wait at least until this weekend to start me.

I have tried to like this book because a very good friend recommended it to me, and she said I would love it.
I don't. I've tried to be intrigued by Kathy, Ruth, and Tommy. I can't connect with any of them.
I think the premise of the book is intriguing, but the pace is putting me to sleep. I read to 118, and am abandoning the story for something else.
A page turner, it was not.
Thanks anyway, Oldbroad, for loaning it to me. I do appreciate your generosity.
It's up for grabs if anyone wants it. :)

Our book club just met yesterday and we were asked to bring a book to exchange. I left this one in the basket before I left, but am not sure if anyone has claimed it yet or not. :)
For now, it's either nestled in with the other exchange books, or it's on a fun adventure.
