Loved the book - great story, great movie. I was very disappointed to hear what John Irving had to say about Christians and the pro-life perspective while being interviewed about this book. Sadly he tainted my opinion of him but the books was still great.

As a general rule I don't read books after I have already seen the movie but for one of my favorite authors I made an exception. I was actually surprised to find that the movie did not really deviate much from the book as movies usually do. I think the parts that they left out of the movie were acceptable and still kept the story in tact. In fact I think I might prefer the movie's edited version of the story better though no one can argue that Mr. Irving is a master storyteller. I loved it as would be expected. I loved the movie too. I liked the explanations of how the author got his material for the book at the end. I found it very interesting. I will be passing this on in the spirit of bookcrossing. Thanks M, for sharing! xoxo

Received this in the mail today. Was quite surprised about the RABCK and am very thankful as I've wanted to read this for quite some time. Will send it on its way after I finish for others to enjoy. :-)

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Thank you again, icekween01, for your generous RABCK! Unfortunately, my vision has gotten to a point where reading regular print is no longer much of an option for me. Luckily the local library happens to stock a good number of large print books and I just picked up a copy of this book today! I'll edit my above JE once I finish.

This copy, however, was left for someone to hopefully find at one of the booths near the front area.

Hello there! As you're probably aware from the bookplate inside the cover you’re now in possession of a BookCrossing.com book. This is a website where we spread the good karma of reading by finding and giving away books. Think of it as a library service for the entire world! I've released this book to you and now it's all yours. Once you've finished reading it you're welcome to keep it or you can give it away to someone else by re-releasing it! If you're new to BookCrossing.com the idea of giving away your new book and/or leaving it somewhere for someone to come across may sound strange. To me this is just one way to share a good book with another person, which I always find enjoyable. Anyway, regardless of what you choose to do with your new book please consider making a journal entry so that others can follow this book's travels; it's always fun to see all the places a book may end up and what others think of it. (You can remain anonymous, but if you decide to join BookCrossing.com feel free to list me as your referring member.)

Warmest regards and happy reading!
