Couldn't resist this as a birthday present for myself!
Brilliant! I don't know why, but I was expecting to be a bit disappointed with the latest from Joanne Harris - but absolutely not. Very cleverly written thriller, it kept me up late last night to finish it.
It's the story of the crises and scandals that, over the years, threaten the reputation of St Oswald's, a boy's grammar school, and what people will do to try to save or destroy the school.
