Rather sweet, but we really don't need two copies. Where do all these extra books come from?
Has read this twice before (and the sequels--saw recently that a fourth book is coming), once when it was fairly new. Will be fun to have a look at it again. The book from 1981 is from an imagined future in which live roleplaying is mass media big business, sort of like reality TV, but much better that that. The game in the book, like the games in the other books, is quite intriguing, as it is based on the Melanesian cargo cult concept.
Still a bit fun. The imagined future tech wasn't that dated, even when the story is from 1981.
