I try not to let earlier journal entries guide me to how I feel about a book and for this reaso I would ask that you try and not read mine until after you've read this volume. This book has allowed me to tick 'K' off my 2007 Author A-Z Challenge.

There are not many books I say I don't like, and even then I try and find some positive. This book however, I found really bad. It is obviously written to appeal to the Dan Brown "Da Vinci" market (that includes me) by linking Knight Templars, codes, religion and adventure. It never really gripped me and I hope it will grip others. I found the writing pedestrian and it could probably have been much shorter. The positive from the book and interesting theory that could stand up.

This is now destined to travel as I'm reviving a bookray for bartonz with this copy.

Received today as part of a bookray. Thanks molekilby for continuing this ray! I have about 2½ bookrings in front of this. Will get to it ASAP.

I enjoyed this novel. It was a page-turner with lots of action as well as a very interesting premise. I agree, it was probably written to tag onto the success of "The DaVinci Code", but, I still found it to be very enjoyable. I did like the first part of the book better than the second half and was a little disappointed with the ending but overall a fun read. I think the book would make a good movie and since the author is a screen writer, that may have been his intent.

Thanks molekilby for continuing the bookray started by bartonz. I have already sent the book on to nuttyreader in Witchita Falls, Texas. Enjoy!

Thanks for the revival of the ray. I look forward to reading this. I have found often I do like what others have not and that I can dislike what others did like.
Open mind for this one.
Will try to do this one as soon as possible.

I did enjoy the book. The history - and a lot is verifiable - is interesting. What I really enjoyed was the history of the lands involved and what happened to the towns, both then and now. No book that is fiction is to be read as truth - just to open your mind to some idea. This idea seems to me to be - do you have faith - does it mean something to you - will you alow it to be questioned - will it change your faith? What ever you read (in any book) it is up to you what you take from it. I have been off line for a few days so I need to see if my pm has been answered with the next address.

I just noticed I did not journal the release. I did get it sent on to Morgaine77 - Switzerland as I never had an answer from the next one in line so that one was skiped.

Journal Entry 12 by Morgaine77 from Münchenstein, Baselland Switzerland on Wednesday, October 10, 2007
Arrived safely in Switzerland, thanks! I'm a slow reader these days and have a couple of books to read before this one so it'll be awhile until I get to this one. I promise though that the book won't be forgotten.

Oh dear, I just realized that with the hectic of my move to a different country I never passed this book on! I'm so sorry! I just got my hands on it while sorting my new bookshelf.

I did like it. It was gripping and I liked the fact that the story was jumping back and forth between today and the past.

Will pass on to bookmanu as soon as I can.
