Voor de liefhebber van Anne Tyler, een categorie waar ik zelf niet onder val.
Hoop dat anderen er wel plezier aan beleven.

Of course I couldn't resist taking this (to me) unknown Anne Tyler home from de BC-meeting in Utrecht this afternoon. At this moment for my ever growing TBR-stack.

This is not the best Anne Tyler I ever read. In the beginning I thouhgt: hmm, just another story about a not-so-happy-family. When Lindy, the daughter of Michael and Pauline Anton, disappeared, I found the story a little more interesting, and also the appearance of Pagan (the little grandson) and Anna (an old friend of Pauline's) in the story adds some extra flavour. So in the end I found the book quite a nice read. But after finishing the book I also realise that I love Tyler better in her humorous story's about stranger people than the Anton family.

Ik heb het boek een paar weken geleden (december 2007) gevonden in het stadhuis van Den Haag.
Ik ben begonnen met lezen en ben nog niet echt geboeid, maar dat kan nog komen

Amateur marriage heeft me uiteindelijk wel weten te boeien.
Maar ik ben er niet helemaal achter gekomen waarom de karakters van Pauline en Michael niet bij elkaar pasten.
