This guide was our constant companion for my husband's and my 5 week journey through the States in 1998, we both found it really interesting and useful. Not sure whether all the information is still relevant, but I'm sure the basics are still all correct. In slightly dogeared condition but still very useable.
This was one of a few books left on the table after today's meetup, so I picked it up to take back to the backpackers where we were staying (Next Stop, in View Street) to leave in the bookshelf. Hopefully it will be of use to a traveller passing through.

The book is a bit out of date, but still provides valuable information on driving distances in the US, maps and most of the places to stay still exist. We loved having it with us, but it is time to say goodbye, so we are dropping it off in Seattle and heading for Canada.
