Different cover. Found in a charity shop and as I've read 1 and 2 and have 4 on Mt TBR I was delighted to see it.

Funny, feisty, family-tied bounty hunter Stephanie Plum operates in "the burg"-a "comfy residential chunk of Trenton, New Jersey, where houses and minds are proud to be narrow and hearts are generously wide open." On this turf, Plum fights for justice and fashion points.

Fantastic - arrrived this morning, thank you so much! So speedy :) Should have this read by Tuesday or Wednesday I'd think, so I can stop holding up the rings for books 4-6 ;)

Thanks so much for slipping me in ahead - I started book 4 straight after finishing it this morning;)

The books are efinitely maturing into a good style, she's starting to get the hang of things (they just have a habit of starting out so easy and then getting her hamster threatened every time...) and Lula kicks some serious butt. What a goddess to have on your team! *chuckle*

Brilliant book, lost count of the number of people I nearly walked into while reading it! Will send on at the post office tomorrow.

This book has just arrived here, thanks to rillaith for sending it on to me. I have two books to read ahead of this but I shouldn't be too long getting to it.
I'll journal it again when I've read it.

Journal Entry 6 by sunflowergirl from Carlisle, Cumbria United Kingdom on Sunday, May 28, 2006
I finished reading the book in the early hours of this morning. I stupidly started reading it when I woke in the middle of the night, and then I couldn't put it down so it ended up keeping me up!! It's a testament to the book though that it had me so hooked.

Stephanie Plum is a fab character, she just gets better and better. I like the fact that she's still learning and it seems like she's going to be learning for a good while yet. I love her relationship with Morelli too. Lula is a great character as well and I hope she features in more of the books.

Thanks herrgirl for letting me join the ring for this book. :o)

I already have "Four to Score" so am going to be reading that very soon, I can't wait to read the next installment in Stephanie Plum's life!

* * * I've already PM'd candy-is-dandy and have received her address back so I'll post the book on to her as soon as I can. * * *

And I could have picked this up from you sunflowergirl - I was only the other side of York last week when this was posted to my home in Essex!

Do these get better and better or am I just to know the characters and the style of writing? This one made me laugh more than before and my poor husband kept getting quoted bits of Stephanie Plum philosophy. The grimy underworld life in New Jersey is painted in such a way as you have to laugh at it rather than be appalled by it. And the orange hair was great - I bet it'll have grown out by the time I read book 4.

Thanks for sharing herrgirl - will soon be back with you.

RELEASE NOTES:

Back to herrgirl. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Arrived home safely this morning, thanks, candy-is-dandy. Glad everyone enjoyed it. I'm going to the seaside next week and think this is perfect train/holiday reading.

Stephanie has a rough time, as usual, and so does the hamster, but both come through and her relationship with Morelli moves forward. But what about Ranger- do I sense developments there?

Only criticism, not enough of Granny Mazur!

Sending this to gembear, who, like me, is a fan of Granny Mazur!

Arrived this morning, thank you Herrgirl! I can't wait to rip into it. I read Plain Truth by Jodi Piccoult for my book club in three days, am whizzing through my latest Cat Who and will get into this ASAP.

Can't wait to see what these wonderful characters get up to next, especially Granny Mazure who surely must be a member of the Red Hat society!

Journal Entry 15 by Gembear from Melbourne CBD, Victoria Australia on Wednesday, October 25, 2006
Took this away with me and was frustrated by the constant interuptions to my reading. I'd much rather settle in to a good read at home without the distractions, ha!

I liked the way Ranger's character developed more and the mystery surrounding him built up. I wouldn't want to be pursued by someone like Lulu, let's hope his skills help his escape her clutches in further episodes!

I loved the way Stephanie took Lulu along with her to see her ex and he was unsure how deadly she actually was. I'm sure we'll see more of this unsavoury character with more competition between him and Stephanie.

An enjoyable read, now onto book four!

Am placing it on Mount TBR, as I haven't read books 1 or 2 yet, and think I should read them in order.
