Psychological thriller. Terry Fielding has a lot to escape from - a troubled traumatic childhood, fears of redundancy and a failing marriage. Then he meets the enigmatic Soho-hostess Rosina, and it looks as if he has found a companion.

There are a lot of surprises in the novel, but I did not warm enough to the central characters to become wholly engrossed.

so far i think it's really good! i got it at the moseley street fair. i heard about book crossing in my german mock exam, but i thought that they'd made it up for the exam, not that it was real. i'm not sure what i'm going to do when i've finished the book, depending on what it's like i'll probably give it to a friend who i think would love it!
