Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency is a Sci-Fi book that you really need to be into this kind of book or you really won't enjoy it. It starts off with a robot on a distant planet finding a door to the plantet earth. An ex-student meets a professor who actually turns out to be a time traveler. The ex-student, Richard's boss is mysteriously killed, and now Gordon Way is a confused ghost who tries in vain to contact his loved ones. Dirk Gently, who is an aquaintence of Richard from many years ago, then jumps into the scene, and tries to figure out the murder. Each chapter of the book seems to be telling a different story untill they all come together at the end of the book. I found this book hard to follow, and the ending didn't didn't really seem to answer any of the questions I had.
