TWO STUBBORN HUMANS, HIS DOG, HER DONKEY ... AND A BRAND-NEW BABY

A donkey with a penchant for breaking and entering ...in search of alfalfa? Cort Wells had never heard of such a thing, until he and his dog moved into Mule Hollow. And the donkey's eight-months-pregnant owner was Lilly Tipps, raised by her man-hating grandmas. So when Lilly wound up in his barn -- and his arms -- Cort began to think the donkey was going to be the least of his worries. ...

***This was a cute story with unique characters. I enjoyed watching the friendship grow between Lilly and Cort and I loved how the animals played a huge part in their getting to know one another. It was a great message of how sometimes what we are taught as a child needs to be re-taught as it is not always the truth (even if those that taught us had the best of intentions). This story also spoke to me on healing and acceptance and growth. It was a nice pick-me-up story.

I don't think I laughed as hard for any Love Inspired book as I did for this one.

A donkey that breaks and enters, a dog named Loser. and two strangers (one with a baby on the way) makes this LI book one of most hilarious books I have recently read.

It has it's normal parts too and of course the romance theme woven in as well.

The best was when Lilly went into labor and she send Samantha (the donkey) to Cort's house with a purse around her neck so Cort would come to help. It was so funny to visualise a plump, little stubby donkey waddling down a country road with a purse around her neck.

Even with the more comical nature of this book, it still lives up to the traditional LI books I love to read.

It is listed on 3 other online sites so first come first serve.
