Bought this slightly battered copy in the charity shop today. I think it might be on my wishlist so I better check and cross it off...
I enjoyed this more than I expected to. I really connected with Samantha and loved her dry sense of humour which had me laughing out loud several times.
This book is currently being offered as a prize in a RABCK draw - see the wish list forum to enter.
Within minutes (literally - possibly even less than a minute) of finishing the book I received this 'testimonial' email from the Flylady site which was so appropriate I have pasted it here for the next readers amusement :)
"Dear FlyLady,
My housekeeper was speechless
I have been a flybaby for about two weeks now. During that time, my house has gone from a
total mess all the time to ready for company everyday, all in just 15 minutes at a time. I am
an attorney who works 60+ hours a week and many nights and weekends, so this was all
achieved through my morning and before bed routines, 15 min of decluttering a day and just
learning how to pick up after myself. My DH is wonderful and he helps out sometimes too. I
still have a few closets and drawers to organize and declutter, but that is about it.
Anyway, so this morning my bi-weekly housekeeper showed up and saw the house for the
first time since I have been a flybaby. She was completely speechless. She stood around for
a while trying to figure out something to do. Laundy was done. No dishes to do. No clutter
to clear. Everything was clean and shiny (including the sink of course). She just started
cleaning the baseboards and doing detailed cleaning, because there was nothing left to do! I
may just end up having to let her go and save myself a lot of money, because there is not
that much to do now that I have my routines down. Thank you!"
...If Samantha had discovered the Flylady site we would have had a completely different book, maybe even no book at all ;)
