Another book given to me by the wonderful Vauxhallcrosser!

"Agatha is taken aback when she finds a new woman ensconced in the affections of her attractive bachelor neighbour, James Lacey. The beautiful Mary Fortune is superior in every way, especially when it comes to gardening - and with Carsely Garden Open Day looming, Agatha feels this deficiency acutely.

So when Mary is discovered murdered, buried upside down in a plant pot, Agatha seizes the moment and immediately starts yanking up village secrets by their roots and digging the dirt on the hapless victim. But is this wise? For Agatha has an awkward secret too..."

Delightful! I'm hooked!

This is number three in the series, I have yet to read number two, but each book is a separate story in itself. In fact the story is like a slice out of time - the book starts with Agatha coming back from holiday, and ends with her going off again.

Thank you so much, Vauxhalcrosser!

Passed to me by Wistful at the Yuri's Night party.

I'm currently reading book 1 which arrived at the same time, and I've a ring book here for book 2, but I've also had a small deluge of ring books all at once, so this one will take a little while longer to get sent on, I'm afraid!

Brilliant! These just keep getting better and better .... although slimmer too, I think? Really must find the rest of these sometime.

Read it this week, so ready to post to LindyB2B when I go to the post office next.

Haven't read book 2 (maybe I should sign up for the ring? who's running it I wonder....) but I'm very much looking forward to reading this one :-)

Another enjoyable book in the Agatha Raisin series. Once again, I felt that some of the characters were drawn with too broad brushstrokes, but this didn't stop me from turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next in this whimsical and entertaining read, in which the relationship of Agatha and James gained new poignancy and depth.
A lot of fun ;-)

Will PM Angie612UK for her address.

Lovely quick read. It arrived just as I was leaving for a few days in Norfolk, so it was a perfect opportunity to read it!

Thank you very much for the chance to read this book.
It's now ready for the next person.
