I received this from Vauxhallcrosser last night, and have only just realised he hadn't registered it, so am making sure that I do so first thing! Thank you - it looks lovely!

"High-flying public relations supremo Agatha Raisin has decided to take early retirement. She's off to make a new life in a picture-perfect Cotswold village. To make friends, she enters the local quicke-making competition - and to make quite sure of first prize she secretly pays a visit to a London deli. But alas, the competition judge succumbs after tasting her perfect quiche, and Agatha is revealed as a cheat and potential poisoner. Definitely not the best start. So Agatha must turn amateur sleuth - she's absolutely got to track down the real killer!"

A lovely little book, witty and charming! It is going on a ray - well, a ring really, but the last person isn't me (who registered the book) but Vauxhaulcrosser, who let me snaffle it from him. Participants to date are:

Rillaith
LindyB28
Vauxhaulcrosser

I will see Rillaith on Thursday, so hope to pass the book on then.

Passed to me by Wistful at the Yuri's Night party.

Already started to read this, as it was the smallest ring book I had with me on the way home.

Journal Entry 5 by Rillaith from Wokingham, Berkshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, April 19, 2006
Lovely! Didn't think I was going to like it much for the first couple of chapters - wasn't she obnoxious! Mellowly progressed through a lovely story, though, and I'm very glad to have 2 and 3 waiting to be read!

Now sitting in a Jiffy bag ready to go to a post office when I have LindyB2B's address.

Thanks Rillaith and Wistfuldragon! I'm looking forward to reading this book which arrived yesterday (and I didn't get chance to journal until now).
:-)

Journal Entry 8 by LindyB28 from Acocks Green, West Midlands United Kingdom on Friday, May 5, 2006
This was a hugely enjoyable, short read, marred only by some glimpses of a 'daily mail-esque' world view. I'd like to read more of the Agatha Raisin books, especially because I've listened to the wonderful adaptation of the series on Radio 4. In fact, Penelope Keith was in my head for Agatha as I was reading!

Will PM Vauxhallcrosser for his address.

I've spent so much time this week waiting for lifts to work, sitting in hospital waiting rooms, etc., that I've read this already so I'm now PMing Celticstar so I can get it on its way. I enjoyed it and it brightened up what would otherwise have been a boring few hours.

Journal Entry 13 by celticstar from Denbighshire, Wales United Kingdom on Monday, October 9, 2006

Thanks everyone, I'm looking forward to reading this.

Journal Entry 14 by celticstar from Denbighshire, Wales United Kingdom on Sunday, December 24, 2006
Finished reading this today, really enjoyed it.

While I work out where it's due to head off to next, I will see if Oddballdave would like to read it over Christmas.

Happy Christmas all

Journal Entry 15 by OddballDave from Brechin, Scotland United Kingdom on Wednesday, January 3, 2007
I actually started this for the new year since I already have another book or three on the go. A really good, quick read, I actually began to feel sorry for poor Agatha and would like to read the rest of the series if they live up to this standard. An excellent opener.

Passed back to CelticStar

I never heard back from Vauxhallcrosser but I notice that he's on the list for the unconvention so I'll take this with me and see if I can reunite it with it's original owner.
