My mom bought this book from my wishlist for Christmas. While the recipes are excellent (I am a huge soup person), it is just a lot of fun to read too. Filled with anecdotes about the "Soupies" and David's run-ins with his arch-nemesis the IceCream Man, it is light-hearted and entertaining. I highly recommend this book both as general reading material and for the recipes.

I am planning on starting a bookring for it just as soon as I get my act togehter.
