The men who respond to her e-mails and meet her in the Boise Starbucks provide excellent fodder, as well as verisimilitude. Finally Lucy only needs one more victim. Unbeknownst to her, Quinn McIntyre is actually an undercover detective trying to stop a serial killer. One thing the victims all have in common is that they are part of the online dating scene. As Quinn chats with Lucy, it becomes apparent that she is lying and that she knows way too much about police procedure. Lucy begins to fall for him, and Quinn falls for her, believing all the while that she's the killer. How Lucy's novel reads and how the serial killer's MO are so alike is just one of the fascinating aspects of Gibson's latest delightful page-turner. The others are her truly appealing and convincing characters."

This book is now with me, after I begged BOKWORMY to lend it to me! :op
It's going to be my first Rachel Gibson and the reviews are so good that I'm anxious to read it. I'll take good care of it and I promise to return it quickly! :o)

I found Rachel Gibson through What Should I Read Next? when I searched for authors similar to Jennifer Crusie, all the reviews were positive and so I got curious. BOKWORMY was kind enough to let me borrow this book from her and when it arrived on Friday I couldn't resist, I started reading it right away.I think I found a new author, this book was so good that I finished it practically in one sitting, it's a mix between Romance and Mystery and the ending leaves us wanting to know what happens with Clare, so of course I'll want to read the next one as soon as it's out. I only have a small complaint, the sex scenes were a bit too graphical, Jennifer Crusie, for example, is a little more subtle, at least she doesn't use the word shaft. But all in all, it's a fantastically fun book!
I'm now going to pass it on to Fantasma! ;o)
So, Virgulina passed it on to me yesterday, let's see if I've the same opinion about the book :)

Finished it last night. As Virgulina said, it's easy to compare Rachel to Jennifer Crusie, but Rachel hasn't so many funny parts, the sex scenes are so much explicit and the mystery is really better. So, 2 different writers, lots of books to read in the coming years ;)I'd like to believe that it's really possible to fall in love almost at first sight, but it's easier when the 2 persons involved are gorgeous, right?? And that doesn't happen everyday in real life.
It's a fun and interesting book, and I don't know if I should thank Virgulina or go and beat her... :op

This was an interesting book, and it only took two days to read.
I found that the author gave away much of what was going to happen, though it was still a good read.
Parts of it were very descriptive, and parts barely described what was going on at all. overall it was fine though
off the the next person on the list.

I finally finished this one last week. Many apologies for hanging on to it for so long. The last part of the school year was busier than I anticipated it to be...so glad that summer is here!
I enjoyed the book a lot. It keep me up late two nights in a row. I did figure out the secret early in the book which is a rarity. I think the author could have done a little better of a job being sneaky about that BUT I will definitely check out more of her stuff in the near future! :)

Well, I really enjoyed this book...which had nothing to do with the fact that Quinn sounds gorgeous - honest!
It was an easy, fun read & once I started reading I was hooked! I'll look out for more by this author.
Haven't had PM back from kamischka with an address yet, so will try again & it can carry on travelling.
