Labyrinth

I completely enjoyed this book. The characters were captivating and the story lines interesting. I felt a bit impatient, wanting to get to the end and find out what happened. At first I found the jumps from past to present irritating but by the middle of the book I enjoyed them as the two stories became closer and closer to merging. Despite the blurb on the back, I didn't find this at all like the Da Vinci Code, though the subject matter is much the same.
This book was well-written, and the characters well developed. For at least the second half of the book, the writer was able to transport my mind and imagination to another (fictional) time and place. I also became emotionally attached to the characters. In my humble opinion, this is all I can ever ask of a book.
Note: this book is the trade paperback version

Gave this to my father-in-law to read. I hope he likes it.
