Quirky. Got this one from midwinter, and loved it. Great read; the premise (a retired pathologist who performed Einstein's autopsy stole his brain; now, forty years later, he wants to travel across the country to show it to Einstein's granddaughter) is so unlikely as to seem fictional (it's not!), but you soon get engrossed in the various characters the morally ambiguous old doctor and his chauffer (the book's author) meet on their epic road trip. And the discursions, into Einstein's unconventional personal life, the theory of relativity and the nature of mental phenomena, all combine to make this a compelling read: I blitzed through it in two sittings. Goes back to midwinter now, highly recommended.
