This book is going with me to the meet up :o)
I picked this up at the Ipswich Caffe Nero OBCZ meet-up on 13/05/2006.
Not the sort of thing, I usually read but I found it quite interesting. I haven't read much Jane Austen so a lot of the references were lost on me but the surrounding characters drew me in and even though it doesn't feel like the story has a traditional ending, I found that much more satisfying than if everything had been tied up.
Good read, even more so - I imagine - if you're an Austen fan.
I passed it on to a friend in Leeds I thought might like it.

It may not be the kind of book I would normally pick up, but I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it....
I found that it reminded me of the Jane Austen books I read several years ago, without making me feel like I was missing something when it was talking about one of the books that I haven't read... It a good mixture of new fictional characters, and the Jane Austen books.

Just found it in the office kitchen and plan to take it on holiday next week to read, it could end up in Worcestershire, Bath or North Wales, or anywhere in between!

An enjoyable read. I didn't find it funny as the cover crit suggested, but it was amusing. Made me think I must revisit my Jane Austen, which is no bad thing.
I released it at the Ty Coch Inn at Porth Dinllaen, Lleyn Peninsula, Wales and saw it whisked away into the kitchen. Happy travels!
