V for Vendetta

I thought I'd give this a go before the big movie is released and the story slashed and I'm glad I did. The vision here is much like that of George Orlwell in his classic "1984" except this is not quite as far in the future from the time it was written and the situations are much more "true to life".
Visually appealing, the big draw here is the story which is mature, smart, masterfully told and completely engulfing from beginning to end. Once I started I couldn't put it down.
An excellent read.
