This is one of a series of books illustrating the alphabet with examples from a selected state. The New Hampshire volume has an interesting variety of topics; "D" for deer, "F" for Robert Frost, "I" for Isles of Shoals, "K" for Kancamagus (the highway and the Abenaki warrior for whom it was named)... There's also "O" for the late "Old Man of the Mountain" - perhaps I should add a little note in the margin on that one!

I'm adding this book to the Hometown Authors Bookbox to contribute a little New England flavor! (Click here to see the bookbox journal for more information.)

I have purchased the book “B is for Beaver” to give my 2-year-old nephew. I enjoyed reading this book and learning more about New Hampshire. This book is going back in the box for others to enjoy! Thanks!

I'm so embarassed that I didn't journal this before. I must have swapped this book out of the Hometown Author's Bookbox and have a feeling my daughter scamped off with it before I got a chance to journal it. The good news is it was not lost with the bookbox.

I was cleaning my daughter's bookshelves this morning and found this treasure nestled in the mix. I will be moving it to my bookcrossing shelves to find it a new home. It's a lovely book and due for a reread before I send it away.

Bluestocking88 gave me this book to use for my daycare kids. We aren't quite up to G yet, so I put it on the shelf. Looks like it will be a while before we are back in action because of the pandemic. However, as soon as we learn G, I will share it and find it a new home somewhere. The poems are wonderful, and I can't even begin to tell you how beautiful the illustrations are on each page. I'm sorry I took so long to journal it.
