Just received this collection of short stories from Stellaluna. Can't wait to read it. I've been reading more short stories than usual lately, and I know Munro's a master. Will post a rating and review after I've read the book.

Very well written collection of short stories from one of the masters of the genre. My favorites were 'My Mother's Dream' and 'Before the Change.'

I'm sending to ngillies next.

This was a pleasant read, and stories are always nice for their variety. I felt that the title story was just the author chickening out on finished a novel! What was that all about? She introduced all these characters, got an interesting plot going, and then a few steps before the moment of truth, she just leaves it at that. Perhaps that's the lesson - it doesn't really matter what happens in the end. Or maybe she just didn't want to raise the stakes by writing a novel.
