Nikki Spencer went running from her home and the two people she has known and loved all her life. Something spooked Nikki, but it was unclear what that something was. She is injured in her mad dash to get away and lands at the doorstep of a stranger.

Adam Kendall treasured his peace and isolation from the rest of the world. He had a small group of friends that he trusted, but that is it. The one thing that Adam would never trust is a woman. Adam found out the hard way that women are never to be trusted. When Nikki landed at his door it was not only unexpected, but unwanted. The problem was that Adam could see that Nikki needed help and what type of person would Adam be if he did not help her. The more he helped the harder her the harder it was for him to remember that he did not want her there.

Nikki knew that Adam was fighting his own battles and that she really should leave, but the more that she got to know Adam the harder it was to leave. Nikki knew that she was going to have to face her past eventually, but when she did she was afraid she would lose Adam forever.

I caught this book at the Weis market on Sunday June 7th just sitting there with the other paperbacks waiting for me to take it home to read. I am about 3/4 done and I am enjoying it! I'm trying to think of an interesting place to release it so maybe it can do a little traveling.

Finished the book- I enjoyed it. Good light reading. My sister-in-law is flying back to Florida today and she is taking it with her. This is not her reading preference but she is an avid reader and more than happy to take it traveling. When I find out where she left it I will add where it can be caught.
