there's so much to set up in this complicated book, that it took me awhile tobe drawn in..... but the.....wow!

As much as I respect and usually agree with erishkigal's opinions about SF, on this one we're going to have to part ways. I started reading, grew frustrated, skipped around to see if there would be any improvements, and finally gave up. The characters, the setting, the plots: all of them left me confused or annoyed.

Luckily I was re-reading it while volunteering for a Red Cross blood draw at a very nice casual restaurant which had a Little Free Library at the front door. A lightening flash of inspiration and opportunity! I'm releasing the book so it can continue its journey, and eventually wind up in the hands of a more appreciative reader.
