OK - not only can I not resist books but I buy duplicate copies of books I already own and haven''t yet read! DUH Luckily I have found a good home for it in the shape of a travelling Asian bookbox. Travel well

Arrived in the Asian themed bookbox.

On the back it talks of a love story, but whose? Leo finds the love letters between his friends Violet and Bill, and starts to tell us the story. Leo and Erica are friends and neighbours of the couple, and their lives, and that of their children, are intertwined. Bill is an artist, Violet is writing a thesis, Erica is an academic and Leo writes about art. Lots of strands to the story, the 2 very different sons, one born to each family, but Mark lives in the shadow of his mother, Bill's ex-wife. Obsession, art, survival, living on after someone has died.
