Having never really grown out of my Anne Boleyn phase I was delighted to find a new author (new to me) writing an account of this famous story. I enjoyed it, for whilst it told the events I know so well, it kept Anne Boleyn right in the background as a shadowy puppet master and focused instead on her impact upon the lives of Katherine, Mary and Cardinal Wolsey. No frills, no bodices ripped but intelligent and interesting. Hope it finds a new home and fires a passion for Tudor History in someone else.

This one did travel all the way to the Charing Cross road, and then returned to Wimbledon with me. It is now free in the rear entrance passage way to Morrisons in Wimbledon.
