I enjoyed "Me Talk Pretty One Day," and have been eyeing this one as well. So, I was glad to get a copy at the BC meetup. Thanks! :)
Picked up at the December 12 meeting of the TriValley Book Crossing group in Dublin, California. (Thanks, herebedragons!) Started reading it that very night... a quick and easy collection of short essays about life and family and... too early to say what else.
Very much enjoyed reading this quirky collection of essays or short stories... which may be autobiographical but certainly were fun. These are definitely not for those with moral scruples against the gay lifestyle or various other non-conservative topics. Now I am determined to find a copy of this earlier book "Me Talk Pretty One Day", to see if it as good.
Book will be released at the January meeting of the TriValley BookCrossing group.

For wild release, sometime soon! :)
I picked this up today at the local bookcrossing meeting. I have seen this book many times in the book store and have never read it. I am glad I will have a chance to give it a try! Thank you herebedragons for bringing it to share!
A really interesting book, though at times I had to wonder if the author wasn't stepiing over some personal boundries with his essays. I am not sure I would wan to be his sibbling and read about my life and actions in a book. I am glad my brother doesn't feel the compulsion to share!

My co-worker found this at Bank's cafe. It's the book that introduced me to bookcrossing.com. I love this and all of David Sedaris's books. I had the pleasure of hearing him speak at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia last fall and he was hilarious! When signing books pre-show, he made a point to say something unique to each person in line. Nice guy!
