What a wonderful story by the author of The Hundred and One Dalmations. Written in 1948 by an Englishwoman who lived in the United States in the 1940's. Descriptive writing in a journal form by a girl in England in her late teens. She compares her situation to that of the Bennets in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
