A classic. This book, and the series that follows it, has inspired countless to enjoy reading. Hopefully this volume of the Hobbit can inspire a couple too!

I thoroughly loved this book. I haven't really been into reading books very much, but The Hobbit kept me reading and reading. I haven't read a story much like it, and I can't wait to read the next three books that go along with it. It is filled with a lot of adventure and never gets old. I was going to leave the book in the wild but one of my classmates would like to read the book now that I am done so I'm giving it to him. I hope he enjoys it as much as I did
This was the best book i've ever read. It was pure action throughout the book and it has made me love the Fellowship of the Rings and Two Towers. There was something new on every page and it left me in suspense. I haven't read much lately, but this book has made me want to read the sequel.
Hi, this is Dave from Room 310 in Cincinnati.
I recently picked up "The Hobbit" off the shelf from our room. I plan to start reading it tonight. I know that i really liked the "Lord of the Rings" movies, so I figured I would like this too. Hopefully i can get my hands on some of the other books by Tolkien. I think that they would be fun to read.

Man this book ruled. Every time I planned on reading some of it I would end up reading a lot more than I had planned to. It was very suspenseful and it was very exciting. It seemed as if the writter was aiming to make a book that was hard to put down and easy to read. Also it was realy neat to find out the story before the "Lord of the Rings." It was cool to find out some things that threaded into the other stories. Now i want to read the three other books for "Lord of the Rings." It was absolutly great!

Of all the books i read, this is my favorite. It was action packed from the begining to the end and i couldnt put it down. through out the book you can see all the characters come together and care for one another, you can also see how bilbo learns to think and act for himself. In the begining of the book bilbo is shy, but throught the book this changes. i liked the scene when bilbo steals the cup from smaug, and then cleverly gets smaug to reveal his vulnerability. This book was awesome and i think it helped lead into the fellowship of the ring very nicely.
One of the most well known fantasy books ever written. This book is about a hobbit named Bilbo who goes on an adventure and on the way finds a ring with unimaginable powers and even faces down a dragon. Tolkein creates a suspensful and exciting atmoshpere from the beginning until the end.
