Rules:
Once you get the box take out what you want and replace with your choice of books, and just pass it on, prefabably within a month.

Once the box starts the virtual leg of its journal I will PM each participant with the BCID of the box so that each person can see what books are in the virtual box.
1. Please respond to me via PM (or email)to confirm that you have received the box details
2. Please make a JE stating what books you are taking out and what you are adding.
3. I will then arrange for the books you are removing to be sent to you.
4. Those taking part in the virtual book box should be aware that this might involve posting out of the UK - Surface is fine!
5. Have fun! - this is the first virtual box I have organised, so hopefully all will go to plan - Enjoy!

Journal Entry 16 by wubbaducky from not specified, not specified not specified on Saturday, May 6, 2006
Ok... I've snaffled seven (yep, count them, seven!) books and replaced with another seven. I've also changed the box to one that didn't need as much padding. Twicky also popped round and snaffled a couple and replaced them (with Anglersrest's permission) but he'll journal that himself when he gets back from piddling around in the hills or whatever he's doing this weekend.

Anyway, the books I snaffled:

A Perfect Wife - Cristine Odone
Time's Arrow - Martin Amis
Bitter Fruit - Brian Keaney
Best of Friends - Cathy Kelly
The Pleasure of My Company - Steve Martin
Carmichael: City of Heroes - Jason Keith Platt
A Brother's Blood - Michael C. White

I'm replacing with:

Destinations - Sheila O'Flanagan
Bridget Jones' Diary - Helen Fielding
Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha - Roddy Doyle
Overtime - Tom Holt
Every Good Girl - Judy Astely
Dancing with Mules - Morag Prunty
Demon Seed - Dean Koontz

As I already have Cyzaki's address, I shall post the box off today! In about an hour in fact! Thanks for organising the box, Anglersrest!

I left some bits and bobs out of the bookbox - doh! Posted on separately today but I noticed a cute ducky keyring and with a screen name like mine, how could I resist that? Popped in some bookcrossing bookmarks in the hope someone may need some along the line... Sorry for being so crap but the bits and bobs should reach Cyzaki before she gets back to her home!

Journal Entry 20 by Cyzaki from Southam, Warwickshire United Kingdom on Tuesday, May 23, 2006
My first bookbox! Yay! I'm already having a good rummage - I'll update later with what I've taken and what I've added.

PS All the bits and bobs that were forgotten are now safely back in the box!

Journal Entry 21 by Cyzaki from Southam, Warwickshire United Kingdom on Tuesday, May 23, 2006
Right, I've yoinked some of the goodies, and added some new ones. I've also swapped some books:

I've taken:

Kissing the Gunner's Daughter by Ruth Rendell
Postern of Fate by Agatha Christie
Overtime by Tom Holt

I've added:

The Secret Life of Lazlo, Count Dracula by Roderick Anscombe
Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery
Kiss River by Dianne Chamberlain

I've PMed dodau for their address, and the box will be on its way as soon as I've worked out how the books fit back in the box :-/ It seems to have got smaller between me taking the books out to look at them, and me trying to put the books back...

Journal Entry 22 by Cyzaki from Southam, Warwickshire United Kingdom on Friday, May 26, 2006
Update:

My mum re-packed the box for me and saw a book she fancied, so I've also taken out:

The Rottweiler by Ruth Rendell

And replaced it with:

Girl With a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier

My dad's off to the post office now with box in tow :-)

Journal Entry 23 by dodau from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, May 31, 2006

Kiss River
The Amauter marriage. I wanted this one when it was on offer in the Daily Mail but never got round to getting it.
