From the Back:
"Four very different friends. One pair of magical pants. And a summer apart...

We, the Sisterhood, hereby instate the following rules to govern the use of the Traveling Pants:
1. You must never wash the Pants.
2. You must never double-cuff the Pants. It's tacky. There will never be a time when this will not be tacky.
3. You must never say the word 'phat' while wearing the Pants. You must also never think 'I am fat' while wearing the Pants.
4. You must never let a boy take off the Pants (although, you make take them off yourself in his presence).
5. You must not pick your noise while wearing the Pants. You may, however, scratch casually at your nostril while really kind of picking.
6. Upon our reunion, you must follow the proper procedures for documenting your time in the Pants.
7. You must write to your Sisters throughout the summer, no matter how much fun you are having without them.
8. You must pass the Pants along to your Sisters according to the specifications set down by the Sisterhood. Failure to comply will result in a severe spanking upon our reunion.
9. You must not wear the Pants with a tucked-in shirt and belt. See rule #2.
10. Remember: Pants= love. Love your pals. Love yourself.

Nice book about four friends spending their summer apart. Through the 'travelling Pants' you see how they spend their summer with all the ups and downs.

Ontvangen!

I decided to release this book during my vacation in Austria so before I went I had looked for several OBCZ's in Vienna cause I didn't want to release such a nice book in the wild. So after visiting the first OBCZ 'Pickwick' it turned out they didn't do much bookcrossing anymore lately so I searched with my map for the OBCZ Flannigans Irish Pub and went there. Hoping this OBCZ was still in use cause I was only in Vienna for two days and there is so much to see there that I didn't want to spent all my time releasing a book! Anyway.. I found the pub and their bookcrossing-bookshelf and I found Plukkie there searching for a nice book! She is a bookcrosser from Hilversum (Holland) too, doing a major biking-trip from Nepal to Holland. I had no idea she was in Vienna at that time. What a HUGE coincidence I ran into her 1000 km from our homes! Bookcrossing definately brings people together ;-)

RELEASE NOTES:

I hope these travelling pants will travel the world so I took them as far as I could and while I was releasing this great book here I ran into another bookcrosser from the same town where I come from. Both 1000 km from home, what a HUGE coincidence!

I expected a different sort of story, was dissappointed first, but then the characters grew on me. Rather touching.
The book will get back on the shelf in Flanagans next week, as I am not going anywhere soon.
